Aries Full Moon Mudra: feel your bold inner fire, stand in your brave truth, and invest only in empowering self-beliefs

Welcome to the Aries Full Moon:

The Aries Full Moon invites you to stop apologizing for the fire inside of you. This lunation brings illumination to the power within you, the passions and instincts that may have been dimmed or dismissed, and the beliefs you picked up about how much of yourself is acceptable to show. Aries asks you to remember who you are underneath every role you play. It asks you to discern your hell yeses from your hard nos so your fire fuels what matters instead of burning you out on what does not. And it reminds you that believing in yourself is not arrogance, it is the foundation everything else gets built on.

Our featured Vajra Mudra embodies this bold Aries energy, a hand shape for empowerment and self-esteem. Vajra means diamond, and your fingers form one right at your solar plexus, where your personal power lives, awakening the inner diamond of energy and vitality you already carry. It brings breath, awareness, and heat into your center, building the determination to meet what is in front of you and the clarity to know what is actually yours to pursue. You could also pair this practice with the reflections and embodiment practices in the Aries Full Moon Embodied Workbook if you would like to work more intentionally with this lunar energy, or with the Libra Season Workbook if you feel called to balance this fire with harmony and relationship.

And if you would like to move through the lunar cycles in community, our memberships are here to hold you, with live classes, recorded practices, new and full moon workbooks, and an ever-growing library of supportive tools. Check out ways to practice mudras and more with our empowering yoga community on our live class schedule.

Above all, Katrina Marie Yoga is a space to practice, reflect, and remember that your fire belongs to you. Your anger has information in it. Your desires are not selfish, and the beliefs you hold about yourself are allowed to change. You do not need anyone's permission to take up the space you already occupy.

So take what you need and leave what you don't. Perhaps for now, begin by aligning with the energy of the Aries Full Moon through the following mudra and the tools that accompany it.

🫶🏻Practice Vajra Mudra:

WHEN:
Around the Aries Full Moon, when the moon illuminates themes of bold inner fire, brave truth, and empowering self-beliefs.

WHY:
This moon asks you to take up space, and that is not always simple when you likely learned early that your fire was too much. Aries energy is bold and direct. Somewhere along the way you may have been told to soften it, quiet it, or aim it at everyone but yourself, until keeping it low started to feel like safety. Vajra Mudra brings your hands into a diamond at your solar plexus, right where your personal power lives, and sends your breath and awareness straight into it. Your fingers make the shape of the thing you already are. Confidence builds here from the inside out, not because you convinced yourself of something, but because your body remembers what its own heat feels like.

BENEFITS:

  • Sends your breath and awareness into your solar plexus, where your inner fire lives

  • Helps your diaphragm move more fully, creating a massaging effect that supports your digestion

  • Brings circulation to your mid-back, kidneys, and adrenal glands

  • Builds your self-esteem and sense of your own power

  • Fuels the determination to meet what is in front of you

  • Wakes up your energy and vitality

  • Clarifies your purpose so your talents and possibilities have room to be bold

  • Helps you cultivate your own definition of success

  • Lets your clarity and radiance rise

  • Activates your Samana vayu, your horizontal current of energy

  • Opens and balances your Manipura (solar plexus chakra), your center of personal power

  • Connects to the fire element

HOW:
Find your comfortable seat.
Join the tip of the index finger to the tip of the thumb on each hand.
Join these together in front of your body.
Join the tips of your middle fingers to each other to form a diamond shape.
Let your other fingers soften in toward your palms naturally.
Bring your diamond shape to rest at your solar plexus, just above your navel with your middle fingers pointing forward.
Soften your shoulders and align your spine.

BREATHE:
Power Breath:
Sit tall and soften your shoulders. Inhale through your nose. Pause. Exhale through your mouth. Pause. Inhale through your mouth. Pause. Exhale through your nose. Pause. Continue this pattern for 3 to 5 minutes.

MANTRA:
Repeat silently or aloud:

  • I honor the fire within me.

  • I stand in my brave, authentic truth.

  • I choose to invest only in empowering self-beliefs.

EMBODY YOUR RELEASE:

When your practice feels complete, release control of your breath and sit with the hand shape as you reflect. Notice what shifts as you let your own heat rise and the beliefs that have kept you small begin to burn away.

Let the Aries Full Moon illuminate what is ready to be released, the beliefs you inherited that were never yours to carry, the roles you keep playing to stay acceptable, the hell nos you have been saying yes to and the hell yeses you haven’t made space for. Allow self-belief to replace the voice that asks permission. Feel it in your body.

Invite your fire to rise. Invite your truth to take up space. Invite your beliefs to empower you.

As you release, may you remember that your fire was never too much, and you already are the warrior you have been seeking.

May this Aries Full Moon support you in honoring the fire within you, walking the path that was meant for you, and investing only in beliefs that feel powerful and authentic.
