Pisces Full Moon Mudra: take your intuition seriously, discern what is yours to feel, and trust your dreams all the way into reality
Welcome to the Pisces Full Moon:
The Pisces Full Moon invites you to listen inward, slowly and tenderly, and without doubting what you hear. This lunation brings illumination to the emotions filling your body, which of them are actually speaking to you, and which ones you absorbed from someone else along the way. Pisces asks you to stop treating your intuition like a hunch and start treating it like information. It asks you to feel your way through instead of thinking your way around. And it reminds you that dreaming is only half of the work, because a dream you truly trust deserves real steps toward it.
Our featured Palli Mudra embodies this tender Pisces energy, a hand shape for trust, embodiment, and spirituality. Palli means shelter, and this mudra offers you one along your own path by cultivating steadiness, inner alignment, and faith in the guidance of your own being. It anchors your awareness into your body and your breath, supporting a willingness to release limiting beliefs so your own knowing can rise. You could also pair this practice with the reflections and embodiment practices in the Pisces Full Moon Embodied Workbook if you would like to work more intentionally with this lunar energy, or with the Virgo Season Workbook if you feel called to keep grounding this moon into daily, tangible life.
And if you would like to move through the lunar cycles in community, our memberships are here to hold you, with live classes, recorded practices, new and full moon workbooks, and an ever-growing library of supportive tools. Check out ways to practice mudras and more with our empowering yoga community on our live class schedule.
Above all, Katrina Marie Yoga is a space to practice, reflect, and remember that your intuition is real guidance. Your emotions are messengers, and not all of them are yours to carry. Your dreams are not too much, and they are not too soft to be built. You are allowed to trust what you already know before anyone else agrees with it.
So take what you need and leave what you don't. Perhaps for now, begin by aligning with the energy of the Pisces Full Moon through the following mudra and the tools that accompany it.
🫶🏻Practice Palli Mudra:
WHEN:
Around the Pisces Full Moon, when the moon illuminates themes of taking your intuition seriously, emotional discernment, and trusting your dreams into reality.
WHY:
This moon asks you to feel, and feeling is not always simple when you are the one in the room who feels everything. Pisces energy is empathic and porous. The emotions of the people around you can settle into your body and start to seem like your own. Palli Mudra offers shelter while you discern what is whose. It steadies you, aligns your spine, and returns your awareness to your own center so you can tell the difference between what is yours to listen to and what was never yours to hold. Trust builds here slowly and somatically, not because someone told you to trust, but because your body remembers what steadiness feels like.
BENEFITS:
Cultivates full, rhythmic breathing that centers your nervous system
Moves your breath and awareness up and down your spine, creating space between your vertebrae and supporting your natural alignment
Balances your digestion
Deepens your sense of embodiment
Builds trust and self-confidence
Steadies you and supports one-pointed focus
Cultivates optimism and energy for your spiritual journey
Instills faith, supporting your willingness to release limiting beliefs so your own guidance can be seen and honored
Cultivates inner alignment and integrity
Balances your Prana and Apana vayus, your upward and downward moving currents of energy so you can ground into the Earth and reach for the stars
Connects to the Earth element
HOW:
Find a comfortable seat with both sit bones anchored.
Rest the backs of your hands on your knees or legs comfortably.
Wrap your middle fingers over top of your index fingers on each hand.
Join the tip of your ring finger to the tip of your thumb on each hand. Keep your pinkies extended.
Soften your shoulders and align your spine.
BREATHE:
Calm Heart Breath:
Inhale as long and slowly as you can. Pause and be with your breath as long as is comfortable. Exhale as long and slowly as you can. Pause empty as long as comfortable. Trust your boundaries and yourself as you continue for 3 to 5 minutes.
MANTRA:
Repeat silently or aloud:
I honor my intuition as real guidance.
I know which emotions are mine to listen to.
I trust my dreams all the way into reality.
EMBODY YOUR RELEASE:
When your practice feels complete, release control of your breath and sit with the hand shape as you reflect. Notice what shifts as you allow the weight of what is not yours to soften and your own inner knowing to be noticed.
Let the Pisces Full Moon illuminate what is ready to be released, the emotions you absorbed that were never yours to carry, the doubt you keep layering over your own intuition, and the dreams you have been holding at a safe distance from real life. Allow trust to replace second-guessing. Feel it in your body.
Invite your breath to settle. Invite your body to soften. Invite your dreams to take form.
As you release, may you remember that feeling is how you heal, and your intuition has been guiding you the whole time.
May this Pisces Full Moon support you in taking your intuition seriously, listening only to the emotions that are yours, and trusting your dreams all the way into reality.
