Yoni Mudra: realize your creative magic, soften into fluidity, and own your feminine power
Honor your magic and flow with your creative power.
Yoni Mudra is the sacred gesture of the womb. Of creation and transformation. Yoni means womb, source, and origin. Your hands rest low over your reproductive organs, so your breath and your awareness drop down to this powerful part of you too.
Yoni Mudra connects you to the water element and opens your Svadhisthana (sacral chakra), your center of creation. It activates Apana, your downward-moving current of release, and supports the health of your pelvis, your pelvic floor, and your reproductive organs.
This realm of your body already knows how to surrender. It can shed and release cyclically and intuitively. You get to create again and again because your body keeps making space for more.
The womb is the first place of creation. Every image we have for magic has been inspired by it. The cauldron, the vessel, the cup.
This shape is especially powerful as we welcome Scorpio Season. Scorpio energy is deeply emotional, intuitive, and alchemical. It reminds you that endings are simply beginnings wrapped in a different bow. This season brings your attention to what is ready to be released and to what becomes possible after, and this mudra helps you meet that with serenity, intuition, and grace. It is wonderful anytime you want to feel into Scorpio’s influence and supportive anytime you are in the middle of something ending so something new can begin.
That is feminine power. Not something you have to earn, but something you have been doing all along.
Align with the energy of fluidity, creation, and release through this mudra and the practices that accompany it.

Why practice Yoni Mudra:
Practice Yoni Mudra to bring your hands (and your awareness) toward your own womb, to balance the water element, and to deepen your intuition. It helps you flow through creation, transformation, and rebirth with emotional grace and grounded power.
How to practice Yoni Mudra:
Find your comfortable seat. Perhaps on the edge of a bolster, pillow, or folded blanket to balance your pelvis and spine. Interlace your fingers inward with your left pinky on the bottom. Join the pads of your thumbs together and the pads of your index fingers together. Hold this with your thumbs extended up and your index fingers extended down, so your hands resemble a diamond shape. Rest your hands below your navel, near your reproductive organs. Soften your shoulders, let your elbows reach slightly away from your ribs, and naturally align your spine.
CUSTOMIZE IT: Rest your hands in your lap or over your low belly instead if that feels better today. If you are pregnant, keep the shape gentle and rest your hands wherever they are welcome.
🧘🏻♀️MEDITATION: Feminine Power + Fluidity
WHY:
Practice this meditation to connect with the natural rhythm of creation, dissolution, and rebirth. This realm of your body already moves that way. It sheds and releases so you can create again and again. This practice helps you cultivate serenity amid change, deepen emotional balance, and awaken intuitive trust in your own becoming. By synchronizing breath, mantra, and awareness, you gently release resistance and remember your innate ability to move fluidly with the magic of existence.
PLACE:
Find any comfortable seat. Perhaps sit on a bolster or blanket to get your hips a little higher than your knees.
MUDRA:
Find Yoni Mudra by interlacing your fingers inward with your left pinky on the bottom. You could also rest your hands in your lap or over your low belly if you would like.
DRISHTI:
Let your eyelids feel heavy and close if it feels safe. Always permission to keep a soft gaze.
PRANAYAMA:
Inhale in four equal pieces through your nose. Exhale in one fluid breath through your mouth.
MANTRA:
Invitation to mentally attach the mantra SA - TA - NA - MA to the inhale, one syllable per each piece of the inhale.
SA: Infinity
TA: Life/Existence
NA: Death
MA: Rebirth
This mantra represents the continuous shedding of the old you and the steadfast becoming of who you were meant to be. It connects you to the full cycle of your existence and the way you can fluidly move amidst the magic.
SUGGESTED TIMING:
Continue for 3-5 minutes.
TO END:
After an exhale release control of your breath and release your hands. See if you can feel into the depth, fluidity, and magic of your existence.
✨MANTRA:
I fluidly move with the magic of my existence
I hope you surrender to your transformation so you can become all you are meant to be.
