Taurus New Moon Mudra: Kubera — a practice for embodied beauty, earthy abundance, and being rooted in worthiness
Welcome to the Taurus New Moon:
The Taurus New Moon invites you to slow down and come home to your body and your senses. This earthy lunation helps you embody beauty, cultivate abundance, and root deeply into your worthiness. It's a time to move at the pace of presence, trusting that you are already enough — to breathe, touch, feel, and receive. As you soften into stillness, you begin to remember that your value isn't something you earn; it's something you innately embody. Let this moon remind you that grounded pleasure, gentle strength, and unwavering worth can coexist — and that your life itself is the most beautiful thing you'll ever grow.
Our featured Kubera Mudra embodies this grounded Taurus energy — a hand shape for abundance, beauty, and wealth. This mudra anchors your awareness into the present moment, releasing the worry and limiting beliefs that block your natural abundance, so your confidence, radiance, and worthiness can rise. You could also pair this practice with the reflections or embodiment practices in the Taurus New Moon Embodied Workbook if you'd like to work more intentionally with this lunar energy, or with the Taurus Season Workbook if you feel called to continue deepening your relationship with Taurus's wisdom.
And if you'd like to move through the lunar cycles in community, our memberships are here to hold you — with live classes, recorded practices, new and full moon workbooks, and an ever-growing library of supportive tools. Check out ways to practice mudras and more with our empowering yoga community on our live class schedule.
Katrina Marie Yoga is a supportive space to practice, reflect, and remember that you don't have to carry everything alone. You can simply start where the moon is — right here, right now — and allow her to guide you back to your own embodied beauty, earthy abundance, and rooted worthiness.
Above all, let this Taurus New Moon remind you that you are worthy of all that you are calling in. Take what you need and leave what you don't. Perhaps begin right here, with this mudra and the practices that support beauty, abundance, and the quiet, steady power of knowing your worth.
🫶🏻Practice Kubera Mudra:
WHEN
Around the Taurus New Moon, when both the sun and moon align in Taurus's deeply sensory energy of embodied beauty, earthy abundance, and rooted worthiness.

HOW:
Find a comfortable seated place, adding support under your sit bones if that feels nourishing.
Make soft fists with both hands with your thumbs on the outside.
Extend your index and middle fingers so you can join their tips to your thumb tips.
Keep your ring and pinky fingers gently tucked into your palms.
Rest the backs of your hands comfortably on your legs.
Soften your shoulders and align your spine.
BREATHE:
Begin Embrace the Stillness — a breath practice to feel into the beauty and power of stillness. Taurus somatically rules the neck and throat. As you practice this, remember to keep your neck and throat soft and open, even in the still places between breaths.
Gather your awareness to your breath.
Let each inhale be deep and full and each exhale be complete.
Begin to feel the still places between the inhales and exhales.
Start to hold onto those still places for as long as is comfortable.
Listen for messages from your body, mind, heart, and spirit in the stillness.
Continue for 3–5 minutes, allowing the stillness to become a place of safety and reception rather than emptiness.
When you're ready, release control of the breath and continue holding the mudra as you sit in reflection.
MANTRA:
Repeat silently or out loud as you hold the mudra, allowing the words to settle into your body and guide your intention for this new moon:
With each breath, I embody beauty.
With each step, I cultivate abundance.
With each heartbeat, I root deeper into my worthiness.
EMBODY YOUR INTENTION:
After an exhale, release the mudra and allow your hands to rest where they feel most natural. Take a moment to notice what has shifted — even just a little.
Where in your life are you ready to receive more fully — without earning it first?
What would it feel like to move through your days rooted in the belief that you are already worthy just as you are?
What small, sensory act of beauty or abundance can you offer yourself as an intention for this lunar cycle?
Let your body answer.
Let your breath guide you.
Let embodied beauty and earthy abundance illuminate your next step.
Set an intention on this Taurus New Moon to move forward with embodied beauty, earthy abundance, and a worthiness so deeply rooted that nothing can shake it.
You may choose to write your intention down and place it somewhere you'll see it as a reminder throughout this lunar cycle.
May it support you as you slow down, receive, and root.
May this Taurus New Moon support you in embodying your beauty, cultivating your abundance, and rooting ever deeper into your worthiness.
