Mira Mudra: allow your fluidity, receive your nourishment, and welcome all feeling and healing

The more easefully you allow your feelings to flow, the more easefully your healing can flow.

Mira Mudra is a gesture of fluidity, nourishment, and healing. It helps you find a sense of safe-enough, that steady ground where your feelings are allowed to move through you instead of being held back. And when your feelings flow, your healing flows right alongside them.

Mira Mudra is wonderful to work with anytime you want to feel safe, serene, and fluid, but especially during Cancer Season, when the tender waters ask to be felt rather than fixed. It invites you to soften, to receive your own nourishment, and to let everything you feel settle into healing. There is nothing to rush. You are simply allowed to feel, and to be nourished by the feeling.

This hand shape connects you to your earth and water elements and gives some love to your root and sacral chakras, your reproductive and urinary systems. It is a soft, grounding way to feel safe in your body so your feelings can keep moving.

Nourish yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically with this mudra and these tools to support its intention.

PLACE:
Find a comfortable seat. Perhaps sit on a bolster or blanket to get your hips a little higher than your knees.

MUDRA:
Take your left hand onto your heart. Use your right hand in any way that is comfortable to plug your right nostril up near the cartilage.

PRANAYAMA:
Inhale deeply through your left nostril, pause, then exhale through your mouth. Continue for 3-5 minutes.

TO END:
Inhale deeply through your left nostril, be with the breath as long as is comfortable, then let it go in a big sigh out through your mouth. Bring your hands into Mira Mudra (above) and pause for reflection.  Reflect especially on how you want to feel and what you want to heal. Take a moment to set any intentions based on your reflections before releasing your hands.

✨ MANTRA:
